Duchy College opens doors for Courses and Careers Advice Morning

25 Nov 2017

One of the UK’s leading agricultural colleges will be playing host to prospective students on Saturday 25 November.

Held between 10 and 12; the opening up of the Stoke Climsland campus will give people a chance to explore the options available and to get advice for their future career.

Advisors will be on hand to offer a range of information on all aspects of college life including the range of courses, study programme, transport, accommodation and student services.

The course offering at Stoke Climsland is huge and will now be offering health & social care courses. Other areas include agriculture, animal management, childcare, construction plant, equine, gamekeeping, military academy, outdoor adventure, public services and sport.

Duchy College has something for everyone and is able to give students all the experience and skills necessary for their future career, according to Head of College, Rob Dunn.

“I would advise those looking into their options for further study next September to come to our event and find out more,” he explained.

“It is a great chance to take a look around, meet the staff and current students.”

Courses start at entry-level with progression routes up to postgraduate level study.  Options to study on full and part time courses as well as Apprenticeship qualifications are available.

Rob continued: “Although students now have to stay in education until they are 18 it does not necessarily mean at school 6th form.  They have the choice of a college course or apprenticeship and this event will help them with that decision making process. We are looking forward to welcoming potential students and their families onto our campus on the 25th”.
